i really think getting pregnant is contagious. one of my closest friends, Nikki is pregnant (due january). along with another good friend katie (NOT my sister in law). not to mention, two cousins who have recently spilled the beans to the family. i am really excited to share this with close friends and family. before this, i thought i was going to be "that couple" with the kid. it's different with our shafter friends, everyone is married, and will be (hopefully SOONER THAN LATER) sharing the joy of this baby blooming bliss. however, with our fresno friends, particularly, my armenian friends no one is married. we've become "the married's" as they call it. i really didn't expect to be hitched and expecting by age 25. don't get me wrong, i would NEVER take it back, i've been having a lot of moments in life where i find myself "how did i get here?!"
i really feel God's guidance in my life the past 3 years. and for the first time ever, when i think about leaving shafter, i have mixed feelings. part of me is glad to leave the past behind. it has not been the easiest transition, we don't have the foundest memories as newly weds... our first year was extremely hard. i want to start new, have an identity as a couple, as a FAMILY. i have recently felt like we are in our first year of marriage (going into our third) if that makes sense. the other part of me finds it hard to leave such wonderful friends, and great community that has been part of jake's entire life. c'est la vie right??

The Oma Ruth Project

I am working on a photo album to help introduce Oma Ruth to baby Violet. Pop has given me TONS of slides that I've been taking to costco and putting on a disk... here is a sneak peak!!

Duties of a Housewife

Day 1 of a House Wife:

• went to the gym,

• did a ton of laundry,

• created a much over due wedding album for my mom (at shutterfly.com),

• cooked dinner,

• watched Intervention.

Day 2 of a House Wife:

• Walked to Pop's house and ate some food, and started the "Oma Ruth" project for baby Violet (details soon)
  

• Walked the "loop" around Cherry avenue

• Called Jake 3 times

• Went to lunch at Brookeside with Pop, saw too many people...

• Started an online budget at Budgettracker.com
  

• Obsessively checked Etsy.com

• Looked at houses I can't afford online

• Bit the inside of my lip until it really hurt

• Called my mom
  

• Blogged

Things I need to do:

• Renew my drivers license (I thought I did this already, but it's been two months and I still have not received my license in the mail)

• Go to Kaiser and get tested for gestational diabetes ( I just don't want to do this)

• Pay the 10 dollar Kaiser bill that has been haunting me for the past month

• Unpack, my closet has exploaded onto my bedroom floor for the past 3 weeks
